You require following ingredient for making amla murabba.

Method of making amla murabba
Amla (Phyllanthus Emblica), the staple of Indian cuisine is gaining ground owing to the health benefits. Following are some instructions for preparing it.
1. Washing & Purifying
First, wash all amlas and make a hole in every amla by perforating them with a fork.
Take around 2-liter water, add alum to it and stir to dissolve alum in the water. Now, put amlas in alum water and soak them for 12 to 24 hours. Again, wash amlas with the same alum water, which was used for soaking them. This is a purification method used as per ayurvedic medicine. Some people do not use alum for washing and purification. They just wash amlas and follow the next step.
2. Boiling water with amlas
The second step involves boiling the water with amlas. Now, drop all amlas into boiling water and boil it for 10 to 20 minutes until amlas become tender and soft.
3. Preparing sugar syrup
Take 1 liter water and 1 kg sugar. Mix them and boil the water with sugar until it attains one-thread consistency.
4. Soaking boiled amlas in the sugar syrup
Soak boiled amlas in the sugar syrup and leave it for 24 to 48 hours. Now take out amlas from sugar syrup. Again, boil the sugar syrup to restore normal consistency. Now, add citric acid to syrup and strain it. Again, put amlas in syrup and keep for a day. Repeat this process for four consecutive days. On the fourth day, add cardamom seeds, saffron strands, and blanched almonds in sugar syrup. Then put amlas into the sugar syrup and your amla murabba is ready to use. You should keep the amla murabba in an airtight container.
This method helps preserving amla murabba for a long time and the correct method of making amla murabba. Some people skip the steps in which amlas are repeatedly added into sugar syrup and syrup is boiled repeatedly. They just boil the amlas, put them into sugar syrup with two-string consistency, and mix all other ingredients. They also do not use alum for purification of amlas.
